- CCCM Food Pantry Extends HOPE Distribution                                                March 1, 2019

 

            The Caldwell County Christian Ministries Food pantry currently provides assistance for seniors over the age of 55 with monthly dry goods. Healthy Options Program for the Elderly (HOPE) has been distributed the third full week of the month.  The pantry has extended that distribution to the third and fourth weeks of every month.  “We hope this extension will allow us to serve more of the senior market in Caldwell County,” remarks Meredith Jakovich, pantry Executive Director. 

           

            The HOPE program is available to anyone over the age of 55 and requires a short application which is available at the pantry.  Individuals are asked to bring a photo ID for their first visit. 

 - The food pantry director informed the Kiwanis Club of Lockhart about the mission of the food pantry.  Over 20 members attended the meeting.

 - The food pantry director updated the pastors in the  Caldwell County Ministerial Alliance on the progress at the food pantry.

- CCCM Food Pantry Changes Leadership

 

            Lockhart – The Caldwell County Christian Ministries Board of Directors announces new leadership for the food pantry in Lockhart effective January 28, 2019.  The board has hired Meredith Jakovich as the new Executive Director.  Jakovich formerly served on the board of directors as the Treasurer and as a pantry volunteer.  Board Chairperson Pastor Bryan Dziadik-Willingham states, “The food pantry is moving in a positive direction and we look forward better serving all those in need in Caldwell County”.

 

            “The CCCM Food Pantry runs an essential program for those who are experiencing food insecurity’”, remarks Jakovich.  “I am confident and excited that Caldwell County will benefit from our progressive growth and new program.”
